MONTCLAIR, N.J. (2/14/26) – Three starters finished in double-figures as the Kean University men's basketball team dropped a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest to #1 Montclair State University, 79-55 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

• Kean and MSU traded buckets for the first 18 minutes with neither side holding larger than a seven-point lead.
• The Red Hawks closed the half on a 12-1 run, including seven straight points over the final 90 seconds as Montclair held a 10 point lead at halftime.
• The undefeated Red Hawks remained in control for the rest of the game as Kean never got the lead back to single digits.
• Malachi Jeffers-Viera and Daniel Dextraze combined for 22 second half points.

INSIDE THE BOX

• Jeffers-Viera totaled 17 points and five rebounds.
