PITMAN, N.J. (2/24/26) – Malachi Jeffers-Viera has been tabbed the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and an All-NJAC second team selection, while
Daniel Dextraze joined Jeffers-Viera on the All-NJAC Second Team as announced by the Conference on Tuesday.
Jeffers-Viera earned Rookie of the Year honors and his first All-Conference selection after averaging 15.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.9 blocks per game against NJAC opponents. The Plainsboro native shot 47.1% from the floor and 81.9% from the line. Jeffers-Viera joins
Tyler Spencer (23-24), Jailen Jamison (18-19), Diego Pujols (15-16),
Mike Burton (10-11), Alfonzo Thomas (96-97) and Mendell Foreman (90-91). The four-time Rookie of the Week selection becomes the second major award winner under Head Coach
David Turco.
Dextraze earned his first All-Conference selection after averaging 15.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per game against NJAC opponents. The Asbury native shot 40.4% from the floor and 81.4% from the line. The junior was a two-time NJAC Defensive Player of the Week selection.
