Softball Falls to Muhlenberg

Allentown, Pa. (2/28/26) – The Kean University softball team suffered a doubleheader sweep to Muhlenberg College on Saturday afternoon.

Muhlenberg 11, Kean 0 (Game One – 6 innings)

The Mules held Kean hitless until the fourth inning when Brianna Sciulli led off the frame with a single up the middle.  Rielynn Carey added one more single in the seventh.

Muhlenberg combined for seven extra base hits while totaling 13 overall in the opener.

Muhlenberg 5, Kean 1 (Game Two)

Muhlenberg picked up where they left off in the first inning, plating three runs on four hits.

Things settled down from there before the Cougars scratched across their first run of the day in the bottom of the fourth.  Sciulli led off with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice.  Gina Mahlik drove her home with a double down the line.

The Mules used a two out, bases loaded single in the sixth to tack on a single run and added one more in the seventh, again rallying with two outs.

Kean travels to Florida later this week to begin their spring break schedule.
