SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (3/11/26) – Sean Murphy finished with 26 kills and a .379 hitting percentage over two matches as the Kean University men's volleyball team took both matches in a tri-match at UC Santa Cruz to wrap up their West Coast trip.

Kean 3, #9 UC Santa Cruz 2

• The Banana Slugs raced out to a 2-0 lead, including posting a .560 hitting percentage in their set two victory.
• The Cougars responded by taking the third and fourth sets with a .300 hitting percentage and a combined five errors.
• The Cougars raised their game in the deciding set, recording a .412 hitting percentage and committing just one error.
• Kean closed the match with a Danny Pugliano kill and an Aidan Flinn service ace.
• Flinn, Murphy, Chris Mitchell and Pugliano all notched double-digit kills.
• David Flores handed out 49 assists.
• Flores, Flinn and Tyler Quinn all tallied double-digit digs.

• The Cougars dominated the Little Giants in a straight sets sweep.
• Kean hit .337 for the match and committed just 10 errors on 89 swings.
• The Cougars trailed only once in the wire-to-wire victory.
• Murphy totaled 12 kills and a .417 hitting percentage.
• Mitchell put together another mistake free match with eight kills and a .444 hitting percentage.
• Flores totaled 30 assists.
• Flinn led Kean with eight digs.
