Union, N.J. (3/18/26) – Kean University used a three-run fifth inning to push past St. Joseph's University Long Island by the final of 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Cougars improve to 11-3-1 on the season.
Kean plated a single run in the second loading the bases on three straight singles with one out. Dan Reistle collected an RBI with a groundout for the game's first run.
The Golden Eagles tied it up in the fifth with a two-out single.
The Cougars broke the game open in the fifth, all with two outs. Jude Clough walked on four straight pitches and advanced to second on a wild pitch. He would come around to score on a Tyler Stone double. Brett Hilsheimer made it 4-1 with a two-run homer to left.
St. Joe's rallied in the sixth and cut the deficit to just one recording four hits in the inning, but Cal Chase entered to record the final out of the frame and end the threat.
Noah Rivera faced the minimum in the ninth to earn his second save of the season.
Lucas White (3-1) earned the win tossing five and two thirds innings.
Kean travels to USMMA for a Saturday doubleheader.
