UNION N.J. (3/4/26) - Members of the Kean University football program recently visited the the Wayside Elementary School in Ocean Township to celebrate Read Across America Day, which falls every year on Dr. Seuss' birthday.

Players stopped by all classrooms from Pre-K through 4th grade to read with the Wayside students and support the school's theme and message of the importance of "never giving up!"

Read Across America Day is the nation's largest reading celebration with more than 45 million people participating around the country to highlight the importance of developing a love for reading at an early age.

This event marks the 20th year the Kean University Football program visited Wayside Elementary for this amazing tradition!
