Eight Goal Second Half Lifts Women’s Lacrosse Past Drew in Home Opener

UNION, N.J. (3/4/26) – Eight second half goals lifted the Kean University women's lacrosse team to a 10-7 victory over Drew University in their non-conference home opener on Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED!!!

The Cougars took an early 2-0 lead over the first eight minutes behind goals from Skyler Ray and Ridglee Flohr.
The Rangers answered with a goal in each quarter to even everything at 2-2 entering the break.
After trading goals to start the third, Ray posted back-to-back scores.
Drew responded late in the quarter and trailed by just one entering the final frame.
After again trading goals to open the quarter, Kean finished with three unanswered including a goal and an assist from Shannon Palen.

Cayla Wurz totaled four points on three goals and one assist.
Ray scored four goals.
Savannah Olsson totaled eight groundballs and six caused turnovers.
Drew Coyle totaled five groundballs, two draw controls and two caused turnovers.
