Union, N.J. (4/13/26) – The Kean University women's flag football team suffered a 19-0 defeat to Montclair State University on Monday evening.
The Red Hawks (6-1, 5-1 ECAC) scored all their points in the first half, jumping out to a 13-0 lead after the first quarter. Haddiyah Bell recorded touchdowns on back-to-back drives, first connecting with Giannamarie Greenhalgh for a seven-yard reception and later scampering for a four-yard plunge.
Bell added six more in the second quarter, capping a nine-play, 35 yard drive with a three-yard dash.
Sela Lefler led Kean with five catches for 61 yards on offense as well two interceptions for 36 yards. Tzuriya Thompson led the defense with eight stops and two stops for a loss.
Kean hosts St. Thomas Aquinas on Wednesday evening.
