Baseball Blanks Ramapo

Union, N.J. (4/2/26) Lucas White and Noah Rivera combined for a shutout as the Kean University baseball team blanked Ramapo College, 3-0, on Thursday afternoon.

The Cougars (18-4-1, 3-0 NJAC) scratched across two runs in the fifth as Mike Colonnello led off with a walk.  He would cross the plate as the game's first run on an RBI triple from Dominic Masino (one of Kean's two total hits on the day).  Masino later scored on a wild pitch for a 2-0 advantage.

Kean added one more in the sixth as Dan Reistle worked a four pitch leadoff walk.  After swiping second and third, he scored on a dropped ball in the outfield.

White (4-1) tossed eight innings allowing six hits (five singles) and three walks.  He fanned seven.  Rivera nailed down his third save, facing the minimum in the ninth.

The two teams face off again on Friday in Mahwah.
