Glassboro, N.J. (4/30/26) – Second-seeded Rowan University used a balanced scoring attack to top the Kean University softball team, 8-0 in six innings in the semifinal round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference tournament.
The Profs jumped on the board quickly as Ava Fisher connected on a two-run homer in the first inning. Emma Dobkin later recorded an RBI single to give Rowan a 3-0 advantage after one.
Rowan added two more in the second as two scored off a single from Zoey Rogers.
After scoring a single run in the fourth, Kate Evick opened the fifth with a solo homer to push the lead out to seven.
The Profs added an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth to reach the eight-run advantage, ending the contest in the sixth frame.
BethAnne Doderer improved to 18-2 with a complete game performance. She allowed three hits and two walks while striking out seven.
