Kean University

Scott Sperone joins the Kean University football coaching staff for his third season in 2025. 

Sperone comes to Union from Fitchburg State, where he served as the Head Coach from 2020-2022. Prior to FSU, Sperone served as the Defensive Coordinator from 2017-19 at WPI, where the Engineers were NEWMAC Co-Champions in 2019 and the New England Bowl Championships in 2017 and 2019. 

Sperone also had stops at FDU (2011-2016), Merrimack College (2008-2010), Brown (2006-2007), Williams College (2005), Stonehill (2004), Springfield (2002-03, 2000) and King's Pa. (2001). 

He holds a ME in Athletic Administration from Springfield (2004) and a MS in Physical Education from Springfield in 2001. Sperone was a member of the Pride Football team from 1997 to 1999. 

Sperone currently works as a PE teacher in the Paterson Public School District
