Kean University

Former Cougar Kamil Garbowski joins the Kean University Men’s Volleyball coaching staff for his second season. Garbowski earned a B.A. in Organizational Management from Kean in 2019.

Most recently, Kamil played professionally for FC Schüttorf 09 in the second Bundesliga in Germany. Garbowski was a three-time MVP with Schüttorf and coached a variation of classes while in Germany. In the states, Kamil taught classes with the NJ Volleyball Club for the past two years.

As a player, Garbowski totaled 458.5 points, 358 kills, 92 blocks and 75 digs in 91 matches played. During his senior year, Kamil was named an AVCA First Team All-American, All-ECAC First Team Selection, All-NJAC First Team selection, All-CVC First Team selection, 4x NJAC Player of the Week, 2x CVC Player of the Week and the AVCA Division III National Player of the Week.

In addition, Kamil was named the Male D’Angola Award winner by the Cougar Athletic Department.
