Bernadette Connor begins her fourth year as an assistant coach at Kean, having joined the staff in the fall of 2013.
Connor serves as the offensive coordinator and draw specialist for the Cougars. In addition to her on-field responsibilities, Connor's administrative roles include recruiting, scouting, player development, film breakdown and program management.
Connor played collegiately at The College of New Jersey, making NCAA appearances all four years as a Lion, which included two National Championships in 2005 and 2006 as well as finishing as the National Runner-Up in 2004. Scholastically, Connor was a Dean's List student at TCNJ, as well as US Lacrosse Academic HS All-American and a first-team all-area selection at Cinnaminson High School.
Before coming to Kean, Connor taught for six years and served as the Physical Education and Heath Department Head in the South Hunterdon Regional School District in Lambertville. As an active part of the school community at South Hunterdon, Connor served as the head boys middle school soccer coach, assistant girls varsity basketball coach, and was actively involved in mentoring and advising student government.
Connor made the jump to college coaching after building the West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North girls’ lacrosse program into a state powerhouse from 2007 to 2013. In addition, Connor has worked as a coach and program director for many different New Jersey lacrosse clubs and select teams.
Connor received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise Science with a Certification in Health and Physical Education from The College of New Jersey in 2007, and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Thomas Edison State University in 2015.
