Jordan Trautman

Jordan Trautman will enter her fifth season as the head coach of the Kean women's lacrosse program in 2017. The Cougars have won 41 games in her tenure.

Trautman led her squad to a dozen wins in 2016, including eight victories of 10 goals or more. The Cougars nearly doubled their opponents' scoring output, 210 goals to 111 and boasted the NJAC’s Midfielder of the Year in Jordan Blanda. Her teams appeared in the postseason in three of her first four years at the helm of the Kean program.

The head coaching position was the first for Trautman, who came to Kean after assistant coaching stops at Yale University and the United States Naval Academy.  While at Navy she worked with head coach Cindy Timchal, the NCAA's all-time leader in career wins for any division, in men's or women's college lacrosse.  Primarily working with the defenders, the Bulldogs finished the season ranked No. 7 in the country in scoring defense.

Trautman was a four year starter for Georgetown University where she earned All-American honors her junior season.  A two-time captain, she helped lead Georgetown to three NCAA Tournament appearances, two Big East Championships and an overall mark of 49-25.  During her senior campaign, she was second team All-Big East and a North-South All-Star selection, while also appearing on the watch list for the Tewaaraton Trophy as the top player in women’s college lacrosse. She was twice invited to tryout for the USA national team, most recently in the summer of 2014.

Trautman also has widespread club lacrosse experience.

Prior to her arrival at Kean, Trautman has served as the manager of player marketing for the National Football League Alumni.

Trautman received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Women and Gender Studies from Georgetown in 2009.
