Sarah Lawshe was named the seventh women's lacrosse coach in program history ahead of the 2024 season. She enters her third season as head coach in 2026.

In 2025, the Cougars posted three All-NJAC selections, including Ella Petrosh being named the NJAC Rookie of the Year. Drew Coyle was a first team selection and was named to the IWLCA All-Region team.
Lawshe led the Cougars to nine victories during her first season in Union. Savannah Olsson was named NJAC Co-Rookie of the Year as Kean earned four All-NJAC selections. Kylie Giordano was a first team selection while being named to both the IWLCA All-Region and All-ECAC teams.

Lawshe takes over for
B.J. Johnson, who was promoted to Managing Assistant Director of Recreation/External Affairs.
She arrives in Union from NJAC rival Montclair State University, where she has served as an assistant since 2021. During her time with the Red Hawks, she recruited 21 newcomers over the past two seasons, planned prospect clinics with local schools and club programs, designed team strength and conditioning workouts and managed the team's social media accounts.
Prior to Montclair, she was the head coach for the women's lacrosse program at Wilkes University from 2019-21. During her time with the Colonels, she doubled the team's win record and improved athlete recruiting and retention.
She is currently a group fitness coach at Alpha Fit Club in Wayne and the Director of Girls Lacrosse at the Evolution Lacrosse Academy.
Lawshe was a four year defender on the women's lacrosse team at Shippensburg University where she was captain her senior season.
She graduated with a bachelors in Public Relations and Communications from Shippensburg and a Master's in Education from Wilkes University in 2019.
