Ashley Pais

Ashley Pais, MS, LAT, ATC, CES joins the Kean staff in her first year in 2026, after spending the last nine at New Jersey City University.

She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification, and licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners. She is CPR/AED certified and also holds certification as a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Pais previously spent a year at JAG Physical Therapy.

While attending Auburn University’s graduate program, Pais was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for Auburn’s Warrior Athletic Training Program in Fort Benning, Georgia, where she evaluated and treated musculoskeletal injuries and multiple femoral neck stress fractures for basic Army recruits in the 2-47 Battalion. She also spent 10 months as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Point University (August 2015-May 2016), working primarily with the women’s volleyball, men’s basketball and softball teams, while providing additional support for the football, men’s and women’s soccer and baseball programs. While there, she gained experience in preventing, evaluating and treating orthopedic and non-orthopedic injuries, developed rehabilitation programs, coordinated physician referrals and documented injuries. 

Pais earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science with a concentration in Athletic Training Research from Auburn in August of 2016. She is also a 2015 graduate of West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. As an undergrad, she gained first aid experience in the West Chester Campus Recreation program and was a physical therapy aide for the Medical Rehabilitation Centers of Pennsylvania. Pais also spent more than a year as a physical therapy aide for Bergan Physical Therapy in Fair Lawn, N.J. and a year at Health One, also in Fair Lawn. 

At West Chester, she was a four-year member of the athletic training club and volunteered as a student trainer for two golf outings and a pair of 5K runs. She also volunteered at the 2013 Special Olympics Fall Festival at Villanova University and with the iCan Shine iBike Camp at Auburn, teaching children with disabilities how to ride a bike. She is a 2011 alumna of Elmwood Park Memorial High School. There, Pais was a two-sport, four-year varsity athlete in soccer and softball from 2007-11. 

Pais (pronounced ‘Pace’) continues to be a resident of Elmwood Park, N.J.
