Women's Basketball Cruises Past Penn
State-Hazleton, 101-53
HAZLETON, PA. - (11/21/06) Sophomore guard Melissa Beyruti
(Union City, N.J.) knocked down six three-pointers en-route to a
team high 24 points, as the Kean University women's basketball team
cruised past Penn State-Hazleton, 101-53, in non-conference action
on Tuesday evening.
In the victory, sophomore guard Ebony Jackson (Newark, N.J.) added
16 points, while freshman guard Cardiss Jackman (Tobyhanna, Pa.)
chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Kean jumped out to an early 54-26 lead heading into the locker room
at halftime. Beyruti led all players with 15 points in 15 minutes.
Ebony Allen (Camden, N.J.) chipped in with seven points off the
bench.
The Cougars (3-0), who had 13 different players score, return to
action on Tuesday, November 28, when they travel to Arcadia
University for non-conference action at 6 p.m.
