Women's Basketball Remains Unbeaten, Defeats

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - (12/09/06) Sophomore guard Melissa Beyruti
(Union City, N.J.) and junior forward Chari' Cooper (Paulsboro,
N.J.) each scored a game-high 19 points, as the Kean University
women's basketball team defeated New Jersey City University, 84-51,
in New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) action Saturday evening.
With the win the Cougars improve to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in
conference play.
Cooper not only tallied 19 points off the bench, but 23 rebounds as
well for her second straight double-double, third overall. Freshman
guard Cardiss Jackman (Tobyhanna, Pa.) added nine points and five
assists, while freshman Colby Greenlee (Stroudsbrg, Pa.) chipped in
with six points and five rebounds.
Kean returns to action on Thursday, December 14th as they take on
non-conference opponent Hunter College, beginning at 7 p.m. at
Harwood Arena.
