Men's Soccer Rolls to 4-1 Victory
Salisbury, Md. (9/3/06) - The Kean University
men's soccer program received goals from four different players as
the Cougars rolled to a season opening 4-1 win over St. Mary's
College in the Elmer Lord Classic hosted by Salisbury University on
Sunday afternoon.
Junior forward Anthony Tuesta (Clifton, N.J.)
started the scoring with a goal coming off an assist by sophomore
Cory Wilson (Woodbury, N.J.) at the 15:10 mark of
the first half. 12 minutes later junior Thomas Fink
(Hamilton, N.J.) put the Cougars up 2-0 when he scored
unassisted. St. Mary's would trim the deficit with a goal from
Cyrus Albertson at the 38:08 mark of the first half.
The Cougars would regroup in the second half as senior
Jorge Montisinos (Dover, N.J.) converted a penalty
kick in the 50th minute and junior Konrad Kruczek (Clifton,
N.J.) would close the scoring with an unassisted goal in
the 82nd minute. Junior goalkeeper Kyle Crego (Ocean City,
N.J.) made four saves in picking up the win.
Kean returns to action next Saturday when they host New York City
Tech in the Cougar Invitational at the East Campus.
