Cougars Blank Rowan, 4-0

University used four players to notch four goals as the Cougars
blanked Rowan University, 4-0, Saturday evening at Kean Alumni
Stadium during homecoming weekend.
Kean (8-10, 3-5 NJAC) used a balanced attack recording two goals
in each half to improve their win streak to three.
Senior Konrad Kruczek (Clifton, N.J.) scored the
game-winner at 37:49 off a deflection in the box from senior
Damien Serafin (Wallington, N.J.). Freshman
Jerry Saintil (East Orange, N.J.) took a pass from
senior Anthony Tuesta (Clifton, N.J.) with just
three minutes remaining in the first half to send the Cougars into
halftime with a 2-0 advantage.
Serafin picked up Kean's third goal in the 59th
minute beating the goalie with two moves. Tuesta sealed the
win with an unassisted goal at 80:27.
The Cougars held a 27-6 advantage in shots while also edging
Rowan (10-7-1, 3-4-1) in corners, 5-4.
The Profs used a combination of three keepers (Kevin Nuss,
Charles Cunliffe and Dave Schindewolf) in the loss, combining for 8
saves. Senior Kyle Crego (Ocean City, N.J.)
picked up the win with two saves.
The Cougars will close out the 2007 regular season on Wednesday,
October 24th as they head to take on the Pioneers of
William Paterson University at 7 p.m.
