Tuesta's Two Goals Lift Kean Over Stockton,
3-1

Tuesta (Clifton, N.J.) netted two goals, including the
game-winner as Kean University picked up their first win in
conference play by defeating Richard Stockton College, 3-1,
Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars (3-3, 1-0 NJAC) snapped a three-game losing streak
and dealt Stockton (4-1-1, 0-1 NJAC) its first loss of the
year.
James Doherty (Little Silver,
N.J.) also netted a goal and Kean goalkeeper Kyle
Crego (Ocean City, N.J.) allowed just one marker on a
penalty kick and made three saves to earn the win.
The scoring opened early in the first half, just 1:30 into the
game when Doherty scored on a header assisted by Damien
Serafin (Wallington, N.J.) for the early 1-0 advantage.
Stockton quickly answered at 4:32 when Rafael Duarte (Ocean
City, N.J.) scored on a penalty kick to tie the game at
1-1.
Kean fired right back on Tuesta's first goal of the game with an
assist from senior Konrad Kruczek (Clifton, N.J.)
at 33:52 to take a 2-1 lead. Tuesta connected again at 44:12,
this time on a penalty kick, which gave the Cougars a 3-1 lead in
the first half.
The Cougars are back in action on Wednesday, September
19th as they take on Rutgers-Newark at 7:30 p.m. in Kean
Alumni Stadium.
