Field Hockey Falls at Elizabethtown, 2-0
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. (09/22/07) - Sophomore Jenni Barry
(Berkeley Heights, N.J.) made seven saves, however the
Kean University field hockey team dropped a 2-0 decision to host
Elizabethtown College on Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Jays (6-3) held a 13-4 edge in shots over Kean (4-3),
and a 12-2 advantage in penalty corners for the game.
Sophomore forward Brenna Noon (Wyomissing, Pa.)
knocked home a loose ball in front of the cage to give Etown the
1-0 lead 15:55 into the game.'
In the second half, junior forward Andrea Miles
(Phoenix, Md.) knocked home a rebound for the insurance
goal with less than 20 minutes left in the game.
For Kean, junior Stephanie Cirino (Warminster,
Pa.) made a pair of defensive saves.
The Cougars return to action on Tuesday, September 25, when they
host Ramapo College in New Jersey Athletic Conference action at
7:30 p.m.
