Green (West Deptford, N.J.) had a hand in both goals as
Kean University defeated host St. Vincent College, 2-0, Saturday
afternoon.
Kean (6-3) sprinted out of the gate as junior Stephanie
Cirino (Warminster, Pa.) notched the game's first goal
just a minute and 24 seconds into play off a corner by Green.
Holding a slim 1-0 lead after the break, the Cougars responded
again with a goal in the game's 38th minute again on a corner
opportunity. Green recorded the goal off an assist from
sophomore Brittany Gibbs (West Deptford, N.J.).
Sophmore Jenni Barry (Berkeley Heights, N.J.)
tallied three saves in the win.
Kean will return to action on Wednesday, October 3rd when they
return to conference action at Richard Stockton College at 4 p.m.
