Kean, 2-0
Union, N.J. (10/1/08) - Junior Joseph
Cullen (Clementon, N.J.) notched the game-winning goal on a
free kick in the second half to propel #5 Montclair State
University to a 2-0 win over host Kean University Wednesday evening
at Kean Alumni Stadium.
The Cougars drop their sixth straight, including four nationally
ranked opponents, to fall to 4-7-1 overall and 0-4 in NJAC
competition. The win improves the Red Hawks to a perfect 11-0

After a scoreless first half, MSU surged early as Cullen notched
what would be the game-winner on a free kick, 20 yards out at

junior John Esposito (Hillside, N.J.) took a cross from
senior Tyler Masterson (Long Valley, N.J.) from 10 yards
out.
Sophomore keeper Alfredo Oquendo (North Plainfield,
N.J.) (pictured right) made 12 stops for the Cougars while

his sixth of the season.

an 8-2 lead in corner kicks, including six in the second half.
