Richard Stockton Slips Past Men's

Union, N.J. (10/25/08) - Senior Ray Nelson
(Toms River, N.J.) scored the match's lone goal in the
58th minute to send Richard Stockton College past host
Kean University, 1-0, in men's soccer action Saturday evening at
Kean Alumni Stadium.
R. Nelson, on the breakaway, took a pass from his brother Sean
Nelson (Toms River, N.J.) and scored the lone goal of the
match to improve the Ospreys record to 13-4-1 overall and 6-2 in
the NJAC.
The Cougars, who fall to 6-11-1 and 1-7 in conference play, had
seven shots in the contest, compared to Stockton's 21.
Sophomore keeper Alfredo Oquendo (North Plainfield,
N.J.) (pictured right) tallied nine saves in the loss
while junior Matt Hart (Dayton, N.J.) had one in the
shutout win.
Stockton, who edged KU, 9-5 in corner kicks, returns to action
on Monday as they take on FDU College at Florham while the Cougars
head right back into things, taking on #17 University of Rochester
on Sunday, October 26th for their final regular season
home match, beginning at noon.
