Mt. Union Pushes Past Kean,
78-70

Oglesby (Neptune, N.J.) notched a team-high double-double
13 points and 14 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Mount Union
College defeated Kean, 78-70, Monday evening in the "Mose"/Hole
Kiwanis Classic hosted by The College of Wooster.
The Cougars (4-6) will face Thiel College in the consolation
game on Tuesday, December 30th at 5:30 p.m.
Mount Union (9-1) was led by Chris Switzer who had a game-high
29 points.
It was a see-saw affair in the first 20 minutes of action with
Mt. Union taking a slight 41-37 lead into the break.
KU rallied in the second half and led by as many as eight with
just over eight minutes to go as junior Vinnie Darpino
(Colonia, N.J.) hit a jumper to give Kean a 61-53
advantage. Switzer hit two of his seven three-pointers to
spark a 14-3 Purple Raider run and give Mount Union the lead
for good in the final six minutes of play.
Darpino finished with 12 points while teammate Brian
Lytle (Union, N.J.) tallied 12 points as well.
