Cougars Breeze Past Medaille, 20-5

(3/16/08) - Junior C.J. Gannon (Morris Plains,
N.J.) netted three goals and an assist to lead the Cougars
over Medaille College, 20-5, Sunday afternoon.
With the win KU improves to 5-2 while Medaille falls to 0-2.
Kean got goals from 12 different players while posting a 20-5
victory over Medaille College in the first game of the day.
The Cougars jumped on the board with two goals in the first
period and never looked back. Leading 3-2 with 3:17 remaining
in the first period, the KU scored seven of the next eight goals to
take a 10-3 lead at the half.
Kean sealed the game away with a nine-goal third period.
Sophomore attacker Scott Leathem (Fair Lawn,
N.J.) led KU with three goals and four assists while
seniors Dennis Novello (Freehold, N.J.) and
Dennis Lukacsko (Lincoln Park, N.J.) each tallied two goals
and an assist.
Senior Dave Nichols (Florham Park, N.J.)
recorded 13 saves in 45 minutes of action.
The Mustangs were paced by senior attacker Kevin
Pollinger's two goals.
Colorado College (2-2) will play host to Kean University (5-2)
on Tuesday as the Cougars close out their spring trip.
