Cougars Fall in Colorado Finale
Colorado Springs, Colo. (3/18/08) - Sophomore
midfielder Chris Love recorded three goals and three assists to
lead the Colorado College men's lacrosse team to a 13-10 victory
over Kean University on Tuesday afternoon at Washburn Field.
Love had two goals and an assist to spark a 7-1 run that allowed
the Tigers to turn a 3-1 deficit in the second period into an 8-4
lead with 7:17 remaining in the third.
Senior midfielder Hunter Combs snapped a 4-4 tie 1:41 into the
third period. Sophomore attacker Scott Leathem (Fair
Lawn, N.J.), Kean's leading scorer, triggered a 4-1 run
that trimmed CC's lead to 9-8 with 13:18 remaining in the game, but
Love set up Gangl 15 seconds later to start a 4-1 run for the
Tigers.
Leathem had four goals and an assist to pace the Cougar attack.
Senior attacker Dennis Lukacsko (Lincoln Park,
N.J.) had two goals, while junior attacker C.J.
Gannon (Morris Plains, N.J.) had a goal and two assists.
Senior Dave Nichols (Florham Park, N.J.)
