Lukacsko (Lincoln Park, N.J.) led all scorers with four
goals as the Kean University men's lacrosse team defeated visiting
Alvernia College, 21-4, Tuesday evening at Kean Alumni Stadium.
The Crusaders were led by senior Tom Novak (Pottstown,
Pa.) who fall to 1-12 overall with the loss.
The Cougars jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and never looked back
as they improved to 11-5.
Kean pushed their lead to 13-2, recording nine straight goals
between the first and second periods.
Offensively sophomore Anthony Bertucci (Edison,
N.J.) tallied one goal and two assists while senior
Dennis Novello (Freehold, N.J.) (pictured right)
and junior Chris DeCarlo (Sandy, Utah) each
registered two goals. Teammate Josh Morales (Clifton,
N.J.) had two goals and an assist as 15 different Cougars
recorded goals in the win.
In net, senior Dave Nichols (Florham Park,
N.J.) recorded five saves, sophomore John
Gesumaria (Cranford, N.J.) finished with five saves and
freshman Greg Egan (Gibbsboro, N.J.) had three
saves in the combined win.
Kean will return to action on Saturday, April 26th
against the College of Mt. St. Vincent at a time to be
determined.
