Cougars Coast Past Mt. St. Vincent,
20-2

Gillar (Milltown, N.J.) led all scorers with three goals
and an assist for four total points as the Kean University men's
lacrosse team defeated the College of Mt. St. Vincent, 20-2,
Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars close out the regular season with a 12-5 overall
record, improving to 3-2 in Skyline action. The Dolphins fall
to 3-11 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
Kean out-shot Mt. St. Vincent, 42-19 while also holding a 39-31
advantage in groundballs.
KU scored early and often, netting the first 10 goals of the
match. Sophomore Sean Cope (Succasunna,
N.J.) recorded what would be the game-winner with 6:34
left in the first period to put the Cougars ahead 3-0. The
Dolphins broke up the shutout with a goal nearing the end of the
second period. KU led 10-1 at the break.
The Cougars then cruised through the second half, recorded the
game's next nine goals.
Offensively juniors C.J. Gannon (Morris Plains,
N.J.) and Josh Morales (Clifton, N.J.)
(pictured right) each had two goals and an assist while senior
Dennis Lukacsko (Lincoln Park, N.J.) and freshman
Joe Scott (Howell, N.J.) had two goals apiece.
In net, senior Dave Nichols (Florham Park,
N.J.) had four saves in 45 minutes of action.
The Cougars will head into Skyline Tournament action on
Wednesday, April 30th, taking on Maritime College.
