Cougars Tie in North Carolina To
Open 2008 Season
Rocky Mount, N.C. (8/30/08) - Freshman Andres
Berriel (Las Piedras, Uruguay) tied things up three
minutes into the second half as the teams remained scoreless for
the next 62 minutes and the Cougars and Greensboro College opened
up the 2008 season with a tie down at North Carolina Wesleyan
College.
Sophomore Alfredo Oquendo (North
Plainfield,
N.J.) collected seven saves in
net after 110 minutes of action.
Greensboro, who outshot the Cougars 16-6, got on the board in
the 26th minute for a 1-0 lead, but Kean quickly
responded in the beginning of the second half on an unassisted goal
by Berriel (pictured right) to tie the game for what would be the
final score.
Kean continues their trip in North Carolina by taking on North
Carolina Wesleyan on Sunday at 1 p.m.
