Eastern Connecticut Pushes Past

Sergio Marchuk (Wallington, N.J.) broke up the
shutout with just under ten minutes left to go but it wasn't enough
as host Eastern Connecticut State University defeated Kean, 3-1,
Tuesday afternoon.
With the loss the Cougars fall to 4-3-1 while Eastern Connecticut
improves to 4-1 this season.
Warriors forward Maxim Fantl (West Hartford,
Conn.) contributed to all of Eastern Connecticut State
University's goals by scoring two and assisting on one. ECSU held a
3-0 advantage until Marchuk's (pictured right) goal in the
80th minute, including a 2-0 lead at the half.
Eastern Connecticut held a slight advantage in shots (10-8) and
corners (11-9).
Freshman Kyle Kemp (Pittsgrove, N.J.) and
sophomore Alfredo Oquendo (North Plainfield, N.J.)
split equal time in goal, each recording a save in today's action.
Kean returns to action on Saturday, September 20th as
they open New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) action by hosting
The College of New Jersey at 7 p.m.
