non-conference action on Friday evening.
McGee delivered a pass to junior Brittany Gibbs (West
Deptford, N.J.) at the top of the circle on a penalty
corner, where Gibbs controlled the ball and passed it back to McGee
on the left side of the cage for the game-winner 6:46 into the

(Keyport, N.J.) following a penalty corner just 12:20 into

The score held up until the final ten minutes of the contest,
when Valiant sophomore Jen Ascencio (Monroe, N.Y.)
gathered the loose ball following a saved shot and scored from in

In the extra session, the Valiants had an early scoring
opportunity with the first penalty corner of overtime, before the
Cougars took advantage of their third penalty corner to score the
game-winner.
