Women's Soccer Shuts Down Ramapo,

Seidel (Winslow Twp., N.J.) recorded the game-winner as
Kean University closed out the regular season with a 2-0 win over
Ramapo College Wednesday afternoon at the Athletic Center in
Mahwah, N.J.
With the win, Kean improves to 7-7-4 overall and 4-3-2 in the New
Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC). The loss drops Ramapo to
8-9-1 and 2-6-1 in conference action.
The Cougars have earned the #5 seed and await the outcome of
tomorrow's game between, Richard Stockton, currently in 3rd place,
verse William Paterson, currently in 4th, to see who they will face
off with in the #4 vs. #5 match-up on Saturday, October
31st in the first round of the NJAC Tournament.
Seidel (pictured right) knocked the ball past senior netminder
Jessica DaRold (Sayreville, N.J.) at 84:42 for a 1-0
Cougar lead. With just 40 seconds to play in the game
sophomore Danielle Esposito (Holmdel, N.J.) took a
pass from Seidel, to net her tenth goal of the season, giving KU
the two goal advantage. The Cougars held on for the final
seconds to earn their sixth shutout of the season.
The Cougars edged Ramapo in shots, 6-3 in the first half and 8-4
in the second, while also holding an edge in corners, 6-0 on the
day.
Junior goalkeeper Leandra Russo (Galloway,
N.J.) needed to block just one shot for the Cougars while
DaRold finished the day with three saves.
