Women's Lax Falls Short at
Dominican, 17-14
ORANGEBURG, N.Y. (3/26/09) - Senior attack
Stephanie Cirino (Warminster, Pa.) (pictured
right) scored eight goals, however the Kean University women's
lacrosse team dropped a 17-14 decision to host Dominican College in
non-conference action on Thursday afternoon.
Sophomore Amanda South (Fairless, Pa.) added
three goals and three assists for the Cougars, who trailed 10-9 at
halftime.
Also for Kean (0-6), junior Chelsea Davis (Livingston,
N.J.) had a goal and assist. In goal, freshman
Gina Petrizzo (Hopatcong, N.J.) made nine saves in
just over 56 minutes of action, while freshman Sabrina
Vargas (Elizabeth, N.J.) stopped one shot for Kean.
The Cougars host University of Dallas
in a non-conference game on Saturday, March 28, at 4 p.m.
