Leathem's Goal In Overtime Lifts

Leathem (Fair Lawn, N.J.) scored the game-winner with 2:11
remaining in the second overtime as Kean University defeated
visiting The College at Brockport, 10-9, Saturday afternoon at Kean
Alumni Stadium.
Leathem, who had a game-high four goals for the Cougars, gives Kean
their sixth win of the season (6-3). The College at Brockport
falls to 1-3.
The Cougars led 9-7 heading into the fourth period, but the
Golden Eagles scored two goals in the final two minutes, including
the tying goal by junior Brian Loeffler (Islip, N.Y.) with
just four seconds remaining in regulation.
Kean trailed 7-6 at the break, but took advantage of the third
period, recording three goals to take the lead. Leathem
contributed two goals while senior Josh Morales (Clifton,
N.J.) added one.
The Cougars edged the Golden Eagles, 26-25, in shots, and 38-32
in ground balls.
Offensively Leathem had five points with four goals and an
assist. Senior C.J. Gannon (Morris Plains,
N.J.) had two goals and an assist while junior
Anthony Bertucci (Edison, N.J.) finished with two
goals.
For the Golden Eagles, Loeffler had three goals while junior
Adam Drypolcher (Manlius, N.Y.) added three as well.
In net, junior John Gesumaria (Cranford, N.J.)
made 10 saves while Brockport's Garret Allwes (Amherst,
N.Y.) had four.
