Newark, N.J. (10/4/10) – The Kean University
men's soccer team dropped their second contest by falling to
New York University, 2-1, Monday evening in non-conference
action.
Kean (6-4-1) scored their only goal of the match as Luiz Campos (pictured right) scored on a penalty kick late in
the first half to tie things up at one all. But the Violets
took the lead off a header in the 55th minute and held
on for the 2-1 win.
Keeper Alfredo Oquendo had five saves in just
under 83 minutes of action.
Kean returns to their rigorous week as they head back to
Rutgers-Newark on Wednesday in a rescheduled NJAC matchup.
