Zavistoski (Edison, N.J.) was 6-for-6 as the #4/6 Kean
University baseball team executed the second highest single-game
run total by the final of 34-3 over Centenary College, Tuesday
afternoon at Jim Hynes Stadium.
In a darkened eight inning affair, the Cougars (5-1) plated
seven runs in the bottom of the fourth, 13 in their half of the
sixth and six in the bottom of the eighth. Zavistoski, who
ties a single game record for hits, also drove in three and scored
four times.
Kean, who pounded out 32 hits and saw 15 different players record
RBI, was also led by junior Nick Nolan (Linden,
N.J.) who was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a homerun, five
RBI and four runs scored. In addition, junior Kyle
Walker (Piscataway, N.J.) who entered the game in the
fifth, was 4-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored.
Sophomore Julian Diaz (North Bergen, N.J.)
(1-1) (pictured left) earned the win after tossing six innings
allowing two runs, one earned, and four hits. He walked two
and struck out eight.
The Cougars conclude their home stretch as they face SUNY
College at Old Westbury on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
