Women's Lacrosse Sails Past Sage,
20-3
Albany, N.Y. (4/17/10) – The Kean
University women's lacrosse team improved to 4-2 in Skyline
Conference action as they defeated host Sage College, 20-3,
Saturday afternoon.
Kean improves to 6-7 overall while the Gators drops to 1-10 overall
and 1-5 in the conference.
Freshman Lyndsey Cannon (Delran, N.J.) led all
scorers with four goals and two assists. Junior Amanda
South (Fairless Hills, Pa.) added three goals with three
assists to elevate her season total to 33 goals. Junior
Erica Kelly (West Deptford, N.J.) added three
goals with two assists for the Cougars as they led 12-1 at the
break.
Sage's sophomore Ginelle Butler (Malta, N.Y.)
added a team-high two goals in the loss.
Freshman keeper Jules Keeley (Ocean Township,
N.J.) picked up the win as she recorded six saves in the
game, while Sage's rookie keeper Courtney Reed
(Mechanicville, N.Y.) added 14 saves in the contest.
