Cannon, Davis Lead Women's
Lacrosse
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (4/22/10) – Freshman Lyndsey
Cannon had six goals and four assists to lead the Kean
University women's lacrosse team to an 18-9 win over College
of Mount Saint Vincent on Thursday evening.
Senior Chelsea Davis added five goals for the
Cougars (7-7, 5-2 Skyline), while Jessie Mitchell scored a
team-high four goals for the Dolphins (5-5, 4-3 Skyline).
The Cougars netted the first eight goals of the game, as Cannon had
three goals and two assists and Davis scored her third goal of the
night with midway through the half to give Kean the 8-0 edge.
After Mount Saint Vincent pulled to within 11-2, the Cougars
scored six straight goals spanning the first and second halves to
extend the lead to 17-2 with less than 20 minutes remaining, before
the Dolphins scored the final six goals of the game.
Cannon added six draw controls and five groundballs, while Davis
caused a team-high two turnovers and had three draw controls.

made 14 saves in the win for the Cougars.
Kean hosts Farmingdale State College in the Skyline Conference
regular season finale on Saturday, April 24, at 1 p.m.
