Cougars Cruise By Castleton,
18-1
Union, N.J. (4/6/10) – The Kean
University men's lacrosse team used a balanced scoring attack
as they defeated visiting Castleton State College, 18-1, Tuesday
afternoon at Kean Alumni Stadium.
The Cougars recorded goals in each quarter as they improved to 7-4
overall this season. The loss drops Castleton to 3-5.
Kean outshot the Spartans, 53-8 while also holding a 30-18
advantage in groundballs.
Offensively, senior C.J. Gannon (Morris Plains,
N.J.) had two goals and two assists while freshman
Tom Clifford (West Islip, N.Y.) (pictured right)
added two goals and an assist. Sophomore Nick
Angrisani (Belle Mead, N.J.) registered two goals and an
assist as well as two groundballs.
Castleton's lone goal came from senior Korey Counos
(St. Albans, Vt.) in the third quarter.
Kean returns to Skyline Conference action on Thursday, when they
travel to Richard Stockton College.
