Virginia Beach, Va. (9/11/10) – The Kean University men's soccer team fell to #3 Christopher Newport University, 3-1, Saturday evening in the Chick-fil-A Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University.

Sophomore Tiago Goetzke (pictured right) scored the lone goal for the Cougars (2-2-1) just before the conclusion of the first half.

Freshman Tyler Callahan made 13 stops for Kean in his first start of the season.

Christopher Newport (5-0) dominated offensive action with a 29-5 advantage in shots and a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Kean returns home and will face York College (Pa.) on Wednesday at the East Campus Fields.
