HILLSIDE, N.J. (9/15/10) – Sophomore
Tiago
Goetzke scored the game-winning goal with less than 10
minutes remaining to lift the Kean University men's soccer team to
a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over 23rd ranked York
College (Pa.) in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.
Goetzke took a long pass from sophomore Stephen
Moll (pictured right)
for the breakaway goal with 9:13 left in the contest to lift the
Cougars (3-2-1).
The Spartans (4-2) took a 1-0 lead in the first half when the
senior Lucas Emil's direct kick from just outside the top
of the box sailed past the Kean defense untouched for the lead in
the 21st minute.
The score remained that way until the second half when the
Cougars took advantage of their own corner kick in the game, as
sophomore Anthony
Crouchelli knocked in the goal off the pass from
sophomore Michael
Custidiano in the 51st minute.
Rookie Tyler
Callahan made six saves in goal for the Cougars, while
sophomore Jesse Derksen stopped one shot.
Kean returns to action on Saturday, September 18, when they host
Richard Stockton College in the New Jersey Athletic Conference
opener. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
