UNION, N.J. (9/8/10) – The Kean
University soccer team battled FDU-Florham to a 0-0 tie in
non-conference action on Wednesday evening at Kean Alumni
Stadium
The Cougars (3-0-1), who are ranked sixth in the National Soccer
Coaches Association of America South Atlantic Region rankings, held
a 23-10 advantage in shots over the Devils (1-2-1).
Sophomore Carly Seidel had a six shots,
including two shots on goal in the overtime sessions. Senior
goalkeeper Leandra Russo (pictured right) made two
saves to record her second shutout of the season.
For the Devils, junior Lauren Albrecht stopped seven
shots, including saves on each of Seidel's shots in
overtime.
Kean returns to action on Saturday, September 11, when the
Cougars compete in the Seventh Annual Stevens Engineering Cup at
Stevens Institute of Technology. Kean squares off against New
York University at 2 p.m.
