UNION, N.J. (10/8/11) – The Kean University men's soccer team netted two first-half goals en-route to a 2-0 win over Berkeley College (N.J.) on Saturday evening.

The Cougars (8-3-2) held a slight 13-11 advantage in shots, while Berkeley (2-11) had a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.

Kean took a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute when junior Albert Dul headed in the direct kick from freshman Tulio Pinto.

The Cougars extended the lead to 2-0 later in the half, as Erickson Simeon scored his team-leading eighth goal of the season off the assist from freshman Pat Foley with just over 10 minutes left in the first half.

Freshman goalkeeper Nick Pavlichko (pictured left) made five saves in the complete game shutout, while Berkeley keeper Jesus Solis stopped five shots.
