Center Valley, Pa. (12/20/11) – The Kean
University men's basketball team fell to host DeSales
University, 61-45, Tuesday evening in non-conference action.
Sophomore Kyle Latorre led Kean with 12 points
as the Cougars fell to 2-8 this season. Brett Moyer
led the Bulldogs with a game-high 20 points as DeSales improved to
4-5.
The Cougars came out strong jumping out to a 10-2 lead early in
the contest. While DeSales closed the gap, Kean would retain
the lead until the final five minutes of the first half. With
the game tied at 20-all, the Bulldogs closed out the first stanza
on a 9-2 run to take a 29-22 lead. Latorre had six points and
five rebounds in the first 20 minutes of action.
DeSales would not relinquish their lead in the second half as
Kean was unable to overcome the deficit.
Senior Leigh Keenan recorded five points and
five rebounds while junior Branly Cadet added six
points.
Kean enjoys a short holiday break before returning to action on
Thursday, December 29th when they travel to
Randolph-Macon College for the Coaches Classic.
