Jersey City, N.J. (3/15/11) – Sophomore Steve Vahalla led all players with 12 kills as the Kean University men's volleyball team defeated host New Jersey City University, 3-0, in NECVA-Metro action on Tuesday night.

Kean defeated NJCU in straight sets, 25-23, 25-17, 25-23.  The win improves the Cougars record to 10-21 overall and 4-6 in conference action.

Freshman James Pompeo (pictured left) added eight kills, two assists and two aces while junior Sam Haimann recorded 31 assists, five kills and five digs.

Kean enjoys a week off from games and will travel to Ramapo College for conference action next Tuesday.
