Mahwah, N.J. (3/22/11) – Sophomore Steve Vahalla led all players with 17 kills, but the Cougars were unable to overcome an early 2-0 deficit and fell to host Ramapo College, 3-2, in NECVA-Metro Division action on Tuesday night.
The Cougars (10-22, 4-7 NECVA-Metro) rallied in sets three and four to force the five and final set in tonight's action.
Vahalla (pictured left) added eight digs and three total blocks while freshman James Pompeo recorded nine kills and seven digs. Rookie Alx Draughan tallied eight kills and four total blocks while junior Sam Haimann finished with 34 assists, five digs and three total blocks.
Kean returns home to face Purchase College in a rescheduled matchup on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
