Kingston, N.Y. (3/19/11) – The Kean University women's lacrosse team picked up their first win of the 2011 season as they defeated host Bard College, 18-4, Saturday afternoon in the Skyline Conference opener for both.

With the win the Cougars record now stands at 1-4 overall, 1-0 in the Skyline and 0-1 in the NJAC. 

Kean scored the first six goals of the contest and didn't look back, netting 13 in the first 30 minutes of action.

The Cougars were led by sophomore Stephanie Tocko (pictured left) who recorded five goals and an assist.  Senior Amanda South added three goals and two assists while sophomore Lyndsey Cannon had two goals, two assists and three draw controls.  In all 10 different players recorded a goal in today's matchup.

Senior Ashlie Berghold tallied five saves while she paired with Jules Keeley for the win in goal.

Kean returns to action on Thursday as they travel to take on Centenary College.
