Jamaica, N.Y. (3/7/11) – The Kean University men's volleyball team topped York College (N.Y.) on Monday evening in non-conference, 3-1.

The Cougars (8-16) won by the final set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Kean was led by freshman Christian Portera who had a team-high 18 kills (.417 hitting percentage), he also added seven digs.  Sophomore Steve Vahalla added 11 kills (.364 hitting percetange) with nine digs.  Freshman Arthur Kosakowski (pictured left), Eric Conney and Alx Draughan combined for five solo blocks and 11 assisted blocks in the win.

The Cougars return home to face New Jersey Institute of Technology on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
